Solo concert: works by JS Bach, Leos Janacek, Philip Glass, Martin Bresnick, John Luther Adams, Kate Moore and Frederic Rzewski
Our Evenings is a journey through worlds of imagery, memory, intimacy and song. Pianist Lisa Moore returns to The Lounge for a one-hour program of piano miniatures, etudes, and works of extraordinary beauty and emotional power – music composed by some of our most beloved composers. This ‘wonderfully lyrical pianist’ (Time Out NY) guides the listener across a keyboard tableau into the bold modern era, performing music by Bach, Janáček, Rzewski as well as works from two of her latest CDs – Mad Rush (music by Philip Glass) and The Stone People (music by Alaska’s John Luther Adams, New York’s Martin Bresnick and Australia’s Kate Moore (for a singing pianist).
