BENNELONG PRESENTS: LISA MOORE

Bennelong Restaurant at the Sydney Opera House is thrilled to present Lisa Moore, “New York’s queen of avant-garde piano” (The New Yorker), performing the music of Philip Glass, from the Mad Rush CD (Orange Mountain Music) for one night only as part of the newly introduced Bennelong Presents series.

Moore, a virtuoso of the modern piano, will take centre stage at Bennelong on Wednesday January 27 with two intimate performances (5:30pm and 8:00pm) paired to bespoke two- and three-course menus by Executive Chef Peter Gilmore and Head Chef Rob Cockerill.

The founding pianist of the Bang on a Can All-Stars, Australian-born Moore is known for her “ferocious technical skills and interpretive brilliance” (San Francisco Chronicle). Her playing has been singled out by The New York Times for its “life and freshness” and “fragility and tenderness”.
