The Norfolk New Music Workshop
The Norfolk New Music Workshop is an annual 10-day summer program presented by Yale University’s School of Music at the Battell-Stoeckel Norfolk estate, in the woods of Connecticut, USA. The workshop is designed to rehearse and premiere new works by selected emerging composers – music composed specifically for a hand-picked collection of young instrumentalists. The workshop includes seminars and lectures by prominent American composers and culminates in a public concert and recording in the revered Music Shed. It is directed by composer Martin Bresnick, conducted by conductor/percussionist Julian Pellicano and coached by pianist Lisa Moore. www.yale.norfolk.edu
